The Sri Lankan police on Friday dropped a match-fixing investigation into the 2011 World Cup final between India and Sri Lanka saying they found no evidence of Sri Lankan players letting India win.The investigation was prompted by former sports minister Mahindananda Aluthgamage who claimed earlier this month that Sri Lanka sold the match to ensure an Indian victory.

श्रीलंका के पूर्व खेल मंत्री महिंदानंदा अलुथगामगे ने आरोप लगाए थे कि 2011 वनडे वर्ल्ड कप फाइनल मैच फिक्स था। इसके बाद श्रीलंका के मौजूदा खेल मंत्री ने इसकी जांच शुरू करवा दी थी, लेकिन अब श्रीलंकाई पुलिस ने साफ कर दिया है कि वर्ल्ड कप फाइनल मैच की फिक्सिंग को लेकर जांच आगे नहीं बढ़ाई जाएगी। पुलिस का कहना है कि सबूतों की कमी की वजह से इस जांच को बंद कर दिया गया है।
