Seoul city turns forbidden basement of Yujin Complex into public art gallery

After being left to gather dust for 50 years,..the basement of a shopping and residential complex in Seoul has been turned into a public art gallery.
The 250-meter long under passage of Yujin Commercial Complex in Seodaemun-gu District was off-limits for years but is now open for 12 hours everyday displaying types of art that incorporates light and sound.
The opening of this makeshift gallery in the same year as the Korean War's 70th anniversary holds special meaning...since the building was used as a defense line to protect the Blue House from an attempted invasion from the North in 1970.
