COVID-19 tally: 294 new cases pushes total to 38,805

The Department of Health (DOH) on Thursday reported 294 more confirmed coronavirus disease (COVID-19) cases in the country.

Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire said that the latest cases pushed the Philippines’ COVID-19 tally to 38,805.

Vergeire also reported 235 new recoveries, bringing the total number of those who recovered from the disease to 10,673. The death toll is now at 1,274 as four more patients died.

Vergeire said that of the newly confirmed cases, 52 patients tested positive within the last three days, while 242 patients had their test results released four days ago or more.
