A CD seller trying to avoid being fined dragged an urban management officer on the back of his car in southern China.

The video, shot in Shimen County in Hunan Province on June 30, shows an urban management officer hanging onto the back of a car being dragged along a road.

According to reports, the car owner stopped his car on the road to sell CDs and USB sticks illegally.

When the urban management officers were about to detain the car owner's items, he suddenly reversed his car before speeding forward.

An officer standing at the back of his car jumped up and held the back of the vehicle immediately to avoid being hit and was then dragged along the road until two cars forced the CD seller to stop.

Fortunately, the officer was not injured. The CD seller apologised and accepted the penalty.
