July 1, 2020 is Devshayani Ekadashi. This festival is celebrated every year on the day of Shukla Paksha Ekadashi in the month of Ashadh. Lord Vishnu is worshiped on this day. Especially followers of Vaishnava sect celebrate Ekadashi fast with pomp. It is written in religious texts that from this day Lord Vishnu goes to sleep in the Ksheer Sagar. After this, no auspicious work is done for four months. These four months are also called Chaturmas. By observing this fast, all the wishes of the fast are fulfilled.

1 जुलाई को देवशयनी एकादशी है। यह पर्व हर साल आषाढ़ माह में शुक्ल पक्ष की एकादशी के दिन मनाया जाता है। इस दिन भगवान विष्णु की पूजा-उपासना की जाती है। खासकर वैष्णव संप्रदाय के अनुयायी एकादशी व्रत को धूमधाम से मनाते हैं। धार्मिक ग्रंथों में लिखा है कि इस दिन से भगवान विष्णु क्षीर सागर में शयन के लिए चले जाते हैं। इसके बाद से चार महीने तक कोई शुभ काम नहीं किया जाता है। इन चार मास को चातुर्मास भी कहते हैं। इस व्रत को करने से व्रती की सभी मनोकामनाएं पूर्ण होती है।
