Critically endangered jellyfish found in freshwater pond in southwest China

A rare type of freshwater jellyfish was spotted in early June 2020 in a pond in Qujing, a city in China's southwestern province of Yunnan. The swarm of the tiny animals found in Fuyuan county's Shibalian Forest Park was identified as Craspedacusta sowerbii, more commonly known as "peach blossom jellyfish".
