The Chini state by-election on July 4 will be a three-cornered fight between Barisan Nasional and two independent candidates.

Barisan's Mohd Sharim Md Zain will face businessman Tengku Datuk Zainul Hisham Tengku Hussin and social activist Mohd Shukri Mohd Ramli in the by-election.
