Political leaders' intervention important to diffuse India-China border tensions: Victor Gao | Exclusive

In an exclusive interview to India Today TV on Friday, Victor Gao, Chair Professor at Soochow University, said: "In the best-case scenario, I believe, dialogue should suffice to defuse tensions along the LAC or the disputed border. However, tempers do run high sometimes in officers and soldiers, either on the Chinese side or the Indian side. This is where political leaders need to step in to restrain the officers and soldiers and to strike.
