Chinese man risks life to rescue another man trapped in flash floods

A heroic man risked his life to rescue another man who was trapped in rapid floodwater in southern China.

The video, filmed in the city of Mianyang in Sichuan Province on June 16, shows a villager named Liu Wenbin with only his head above the floodwater clinging onto a tree branch to avoid being washed away by the rapid floodwater.

The Party Committee Secretary of the village named Peng Shaobin was seen risking his own life to walk into the floodwater and approach Liu slowly to bring him back to safety.

According to reports, Liu was tripped by the tree branches and fell into the floods discharged from a dam.
