DOH: Total PH cases of COVID-19 climb to 27,238

The Department of Health (DOH) on Wednesday, June 17 said that the total of confirmed coronavirus disease cases in the Philippines has gone up to 27,238.
The DOH latest case bulletin showed that there were 457 newly confirmed cases. Of this, 342 were classified as “fresh cases” or whose test results were released within three days, while 115 were “late cases” or test results released more than four days but were only validated recently.
The Health department also reported that the number of recoveries rose to 6,820, with 268 new survivors. The death toll also increased to 1,108 after five more fatalities were added.
