Salmon import ban and partial lockdown for Beijing after new Covid-19 cases in Chinese capital
  • 4 years ago
China halted salmon imports from European suppliers on June 17, 2020, amid fears the product is connected to a fresh cluster of coronavirus cases linked to Beijing’s Xinfadi wholesale market. As of June 16, at least 32 of 106 Covid-19 cases confirmed over the previous six days were traced back to the market, prompting a partial lockdown of the capital.
