Twelve percent of people diagnosed with the novel coronavirus COVID-19 develop diarrhea, nausea, or vomiting.
Now, UPI reports a new analysis says these symptoms may be a key driver of the spread of the sometimes fatal disease.
Researchers from Seattle's Swedish Hospital say that based on 29 different studies, over 40% of people with COVID-19 shed the virus via their feces.

That includes changes in wastewater and sewage management and restrictions on the use of public restrooms.
