Chinese city relocates 100-year-old nunnery using self-propelled modular transporters

An over a hundred-years-old Catholic nunnery was relocated on self-propelled modular transporters because of city development in eastern China.

The timelapse video, shot in the city of Jinan in Shandong Province on June 10, shows ten self-propelled modular transporters moving the 2600-ton nunnery 76 metres away from its original location in 82 minutes.

The nunnery was established by Sister Maria in 1908 and was rebuilt several times after 1914.
