Given the little knowledge we have about its origin, and given its rapid spread and massive impact on our lives, novel coronavirus is the most fearsome invasive alien species mankind has ever had to confront. Invasive alien species are species of plants, animals and microbes which move out of their native location into alien locations and cause economic, ecological and health damage.

चीन ने कहा है कि उसके देश में अमेरिका ने एलियन प्रजातियां भेज दी हैं, जिसकी वजह से चीन का पर्यावरण, इकोलॉजी और जीव-जंतु खत्म हो रहे हैं. ये एलियन प्रजातियां वायरस की हैं, जो फसलें खराब कर रही हैं. इन एलियन प्रजातियों की वजह से चीन को एक और मौका मिल गया है अमेरिका पर धावा बोलने का. कोरोनावायरस को लेकर दोनों देशों में लगातार तनावपूर्ण माहौल चल रहा है. चीन के एक रिसर्चर मा फांगझोउ ने कहा कि चीन में 660 इन्वेसिव एलियन स्पीसीज यानी आक्रामक एलियन प्रजातियां खोजी गई हैं. इनमें से 71 तो बेहद खतरनाक हैं. इनकी वजह से चीन की घरेलू प्रजातियों को खतरा है.
