Violent clashes between police and protesters at Black Lives Matter march in London

Protesters and police violently clashed during a Black Lives Matter march in central London on Sunday (June 7).

Objects were thrown towards police including a 'Boris bike' bicycle and a traffic cone. One protester can be seen trying to hit police with a broom.

At one point, a firework explodes to excitement from the crowd.

The clashes happened on King Charles Street, just metres away from Downing Street.

It is believed the clashes occurred following the arrest of a protester.
