This was the heartwarming moment of solidarity as hospital staff from Barnes Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri lined the sidewalks in their hundreds to show solidarity with the Black Lives Matter movement.

The footage captured yesterday (June 5) shows throngs of medical staff from the Barnes Hospital on S Kingshighway Blvd with placards and their fists raised to show solidarity.

Waves of protests have gripped the world in the wake of the police killing of George Floyd.

The filmer told Newsflare: "It was quite enheartening to see, even after all of the work that is going on to tackle COVID they still have a little time to speak out against injustice is sobering for sure.

"Gives you some real motivation!"

They later said: "I work for private EMS so it was a complete surprise to see it happen, from what I've been told it was a BJC/Wash U email to all facilities on the campus which we aren't a part of, and I believe we had just finished taking a patient to a room within the hospital when we stumbled across the scene, definitely made the day better."
