WELFARE UNIT TO BE SET UP AT SSU HEADQUARTERS FOR THE WELFARE OF CORONA INFECTED POLICE PERSONNEL, ADDITIONAL IG KARACHI
05 June, 2020 , Karachi: Additional IG Karachi . today visited the Special Security Unit Headquarters and presided over a meeting regarding the welfare of corona infected police personnel and donation of plasma by the recovered personnel for under treatment corona patients to save precious lives.
On the occasion, DIG Security and Emergency Services Division welcomed him and briefed about the steps taken for the prevention of Coronavirus and welfare of police personnel.
Karachi Police Chief expressing satisfaction said that whenever a difficult time came to the country, the police force served its motherland without caring for their lives and now fighting on the frontline against the pandemic Coronavirus and sacrificing their lives. So we have to work for the welfare of the police on priority basis, he directed.
He also directed to set up a welfare unit for the police personnel suffering from Coronavirus at SSU headquarters. The unit aims to care for coronavirus-infected police officers.
Karachi Police Chief Ghulam Nabi Memon appreciated and distributed cash prizes and certificates of appreciation among the police personnel who donated plasma.
Later, Additional IG Karachi along-with DIG Security and Emergency Services Division visited the NIBD Hospital and isolation centre established at Expo Center to review the arrangements made therein.
