Journey to the Edge of the Universe - Documentary film

How far is it to the edge of the universe?
46.5 billion light-years
The comoving distance from Earth to the edge of the observable universe is about 14.26 gigaparsecs (46.5 billion light-years or 4.40×1026 meters) in any direction.

Before that, the universe was so hot and dense (well before there were stars and galaxies!) that any light in the universe just rattled around, and we can't see it with our telescopes today. This place is edge of the “observable universe”—sometimes called the horizon—because we can't see beyond it.

As far as we can tell, there is no edge to the universe. Space spreads out infinitely in all directions. Furthermore, galaxies fill all of the space through-out the entire infinite universe.
