Growing protests in the U.S. over the death of George Floyd are reigniting demonstrations in France over a similar case dating back to 2016.
Four years ago, Adama Traore, a 24-year-old black man, died in police custody in Paris.
An investigation into his death exonerated the officers involved last Thursday.
Thousands of people gathered in the Paris suburbs and in other cities around France on Tuesday to march against police brutality and show solidarity with the U.S. protestors.
Demonstrators defied France's COVID-19 restrictions prohibiting mass gatherings... and there were some clashes with the police.
