Thousands of Filipino migrant workers to return to homes after Covid-19 quarantines

Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte gave government officials a week to process the cases of more than 24,000 repatriated Filipino workers who have been stuck in coronavirus quarantine in Manila or on cruise ships. The presidential order announced on May 25, 2020, applies to stranded migrant workers who will now be allowed to go to their homes after spending nearly two months in crowded health facilities.
