Imposing row of 'roll clouds' form over homes in the Philippines

Residents were amazed when an unusual but beautiful mass of Arcus clouds formed above their town.

The magnificent cloud formation was seen in Bauang, La Union, the Philippines on May 24.

Onlooker Andrew Moico Luto, 33, saw the weather stunning weather phenomenon from a window on his house.

He said "The weather at that time was so perfect and then I saw the cloud formation and it was impressive. It did not rain that day so the skies were clear."

The mass of clouds are called Arcus clouds or roll clouds, as they appear to roll horizontally and are relatively rare.
