Telephone company staff helped to save four kittens that were trapped in a narrow gap in garage shutters.

Workers were fixing the the cables in Ang Thong, central Thailand when they were asked by the locals to help the trapped kittens on May 21.

The crew went to the metal sheet door where four kittens stuck in a narrow space on the door top.

Footage shows the staff using a ladder to climb up and take the kittens from the door and send them down in a basket.

Resident Thanarat Kitisurakulchai, 45, said he was able to help one of the kittens but the rest were out of his reach.

He said: "I heard soft kitten cries coming from the enclosed space and when I went to check, I found a kitten stuck in a narrow gap between two buildings.

"After I pulled it out, the sound did not go away so I checked again and found its siblings were stuck up on the metal sheet door.

"Fortunately, there were these staff working on the wires nearby. They had a ladder so I asked them for help."
