Kashmir prayers cancelled on last Friday of Ramadan due to COVID-19

The last Friday of Ramadan or Jumu'atul-Widaa' is normally an important moment in the religious calendar but this year mosques and shrines were closed in Kashmir due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

Jammu and Kashmir has a total of 1,489 total cases of whom 720 have recovered from the disease, which means the rate of recovery stands at 48 percent, according to local media.
