New Delhi: 39 girls rescued by DCW from being trafficked in Paharganj

The Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) has rescued 39 girls, trafficked from Nepal, from a hotel in Paharganj area of New Delhi. The girls were kept in the hotel on the pretext of job offers. Later, these girls were further being trafficked to Gulf countries. Police has also seized 38 passports from the hotel. Earlier, on July 25, DCW had rescued 19 Nepali girls from Munirka area. DCW has requested Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh to chair an emergency meeting regarding the issue.
