Himachal Pradesh: Heavy rains and snowfall in Manali

Normal life is hit in Himachal Pradesh due to heavy rains and snowfall in the upper hills. Schools in at least nine of 12 districts will remain closed on Monday after rains and snowfall lashed many parts of the state. The chief minister has directed to ensure that roads are cleared of landslides at the earliest and that strict vigils are kept on the rising water level of the Chamera and Pandoh dams so authorities can issue early warnings.
