Dubai 20 Years Ago - Jebel Hafeet

This video was shot 20 years ago. Today we are going to see Jebel Hafeet mountain range in the Al Ain emirate. This mountain separates Oman and UAE. This mountain contains lime stone layers and this is why it look like porous in structure. The road passing through this mountain was laid in 1980 stretching 11.7 Km long and ends up at an elevation of 1,200 Mtrs. There are no sight seeing places available during that time. One can experience the drive through porous hill along the ghat road. At the end of the road a large concrete top platform with 500 to 700 Mtrs length in square shape. This provides scenic view of the mountains. This is only the place one can relax and spend sometime. A small restaurant is available here. We can see one VIP guest house on hill top at some distance. Other than this, there is no tourist attractions facilitated here. If you have recently traveled to this place, you can see the changes if any.
