Chennai Super Kings and Rajasthan Royals were involved in a tense final over finish wherein they needed 18 runs off the final over in Jaipur. Ben Stokes, who was bowling the final over for Rajasthan. With 8 needed off 3, Ben Stokes bowled a full-toss after which the on-field umpire appeared to raise his hand to signal a no-ball but did not call it in the end. A seemingly miffed Dhoni walked out to the middle to have an argument with the umpires that created a stir in the cricket fraternity.

आखिरी ओवर में सीएसके को 18 रन चाहिए थे. इसके बाद सीएसके के बल्‍लेबाजों ने बड़े शॉट लगाए और फिर टीम को आखिरी तीन गेंदों पर आठ रन की जरूरत थी. बेन स्‍टोक्‍स ने गेंद फेंकी, जो बल्‍लेबाज की कमर से ऊपर थी. तभी अंपायर ने अपना हाथ उठाकर नो बॉल का इशारा किया और फिर अगले ही पल अपने फैसले को बदल दिया. इस फैसले से सीएसके का पूरा मैनेजमेंट गुस्‍से में था. इस बारे में बात करने के लिए धोनी डगआउट से सीधे अंपायर के पास आ गए. उस समय सीएसके के मिचेल सेंटनर भी मैदान पर मौजूद थे और उन्‍होंने उस पूरे किस्‍से के बारे में बारे बताया. उस घटना को याद करते हुए कीवी ऑलराउंडर ने कहा कि वह भी हर किसी की तरह हैरान थे.
