Michael Osterholm is an infectious disease expert at the University of Minnesota.
According to Business Insider, Osterholm warned Sunday against both a too-soon relaxation of social distancing rules and a long-term lockdown.
In an interview on NBC's 'Meet The Press,' he said the phrase 'opening the economy' was problematic because it lacked clarity.
Business Insider reports that at the same time, he also warned the US would see a "major increase" in infections if it suddenly return to normalcy.
