Improvisation on a theme with mixed feelings in this confinement period.
This is recorded with a hand-beaten Turtle Tongue Drum with 8 notes using the Hijaz scale. It has two sides (the other side has an Akebono scale), tongues on both sides start vibrating in unison, which gives it an incredible sustain as you can hear in the video (no extra reverb added, it was recorded in a small room!).
Recorded using a portable H1n recording device which does quite a good job.
Mixed with Free Software: Linux, Audacity, Kdenlive, Synfig Studio, and a custom program to detect notes and generate a video with twinkling stars from the audio.
