DOH: PH COVID-19 cases now at 10,463, with 696 deaths and 1,734 recoveries

The Department of Health (DOH) on May 8, Friday, said the country already has a total of 10,463 coronavirus disease cases.
Based on the latest case bulletin, the DOH reported 120 new COVID-19 cases nationwide. Of this, 84 were detected in the National Capital Region, 28 in Central Visayas, and eight in other regions.
The Health department also announced 116 new recoveries among COVID-19 patients. There are now 1,734 patients who have recovered from the dreaded disease.
Meanwhile, COVID-19 has claimed 11 more lives, bringing the country’s death toll to 696.
