Clorox Disinfecting Cleaners
Won't Be Fully Stocked
Until Summer, Says CEO The coronavirus pandemic has left
disinfectant wipes and other
germ-killing items in short supply. The Environmental Protection Agency
recommends Clorox 4-in-1 Disinfecting Spray
to best battle COVID-19. According to chairman and CEO Benno Dorer,
it will take until summer for Clorox products
to be fully stocked in stores. Benno Dorer, via Yahoo! Finance In a recent earnings call, Dorer said
that unprecedented demand has
hampered Clorox's supply chain. Thanks to a jump in purchases,
the company says that its
sales increased 15 percent
in the third quarter. Benno Dorer, via earnings call To meet increased
demand, Dorer
added that
Clorox's production
plants have been
operating 24/7. According to the Institute for Supply
Management's Tom Derry, Shoppers will likely have
an easier time buying
disinfectant products by June. For the upcoming months, Derry added that
periodic shortages may still linger on.
