Displaced Syrian family returns to destroyed frontline Idlib town over virus fears

Mohammad al-Sakhour and his family clear rubble after returning to their partially destroyed home in the frontline village of Al-Nayrab in Syria's northwestern Idlib province, which they had left to flee a Russian-backed regime offensive. They returned to the area from a displacement camp in the north of the jihadist-controlled area out of fear the crowded conditions would provide ripe ground for the spread of the coronavirus.
