Sourav Ganguly and former batsman-turned-politician Navjot Singh Sidhu were held at gunpoint while commuting in the London metro. The story goes something like this. The pair was enjoying a night off exploring the city of London. While travelling on the tube, Ganguly and Sidhu encountered a group of young men who were presumably drunk. The group started ‘making gestures’ at the two unsuspecting Indians before one of the young lads threw a can of beer at Sidhu.

बर्मिंघम में पहला टेस्ट हारने के बाद सौरव गांगुली और ओपनर नवजोत सिंह सिद्धू लंदन की मेट्रो ट्रेन में घूमने निकले थे. उनके डिब्बे में दो लड़के और तीन लड़कियां भी बैठे थे और वो बीयर पी रहे थे. इसके बाद एक युवक ने गांगुली और सिद्धू की तरफ बीयर का कैन फेंका. वो गांगुली और सिद्धू से झगड़ा करना चाहता था. हालांकि गांगुली ने उसकी बीयर का कैन एक तरफ रख दिया. इसके बाद वो लड़का गांगुली की ओर बढ़ा और बोला-तुमने क्या कहा? गांगुली ने जवाब दिया- मैंने कुछ नहीं कहा है. इसके बाद सिद्धू बीच में कूद पड़े. दोनों ओर से जमकर घूंसे चले और तभी स्टेशन आ गया. इसके बाद गांगुली ने एक लड़के को धक्का दिया और वो गिर गया.
