In Jammu and Kashmir, the army has achieved great success. Two foreign terrorists have been killed in an encounter between army and militants in Rajwar area of Handwara in Kashmir. In this encounter, Lashkar Commander Haider has also been killed. However, in this operation, five soldiers including two senior officers have also been killed. The martyrs include a colonel, a major, two army personnel and a sub-inspector of the Jammu and Kashmir Police.

जम्मू-कश्मीर में सेना को बड़ी कामयबी मिली है. कश्मीर के हंदवाड़ा के राजवार इलाके में सेना और आतंकियों के बीच हुई मुठभेड़ में दो विदेशी आतंकी मार गिराए गए हैं. इस एनकाउंटर में पाकिस्तान के रहने वाले टॉप लश्कर आतंकी हैदर को सुरक्षाबलों ने मार गिराया है..हालांकि इस ऑपरेशन में दो बड़े अफसर समेत पांच जवान भी शहीद हो गए हैं. शहीदों में एक कर्नल, एक मेजर, दो सेना के जवान और एक जम्मू-कश्मीर पुलिस के सब-इंस्पेक्टर शामिल हैं.
