Former Blue Bell Creameries CEO Charged In Listeria Outbreak Cover-Up

In 2015, a deadly listeria outbreak was tied to ice cream manufacturer Blue Bell Creameries.
Blue Bell agreed to pay a $19.35 million fine. Prosecutors said the fine was "the second largest-ever amount paid in resolution of a food-safety matter."
Now, Business Insider reports the company's former CEO has been charged for his role in a coverup of the problem.
Federal prosecutors have charged Paul Kruse was was charged with seven felony counts.
Kruse allegedly ordered some employees to remove potentially contaminated products from stores without issuing recalls.
