Self-Defence 201: Fighting Back

Learn how to fight back against a violent attack.

In this course you will learn the basic techniques of self-defence. There will be a focus on simple and effective strikes, targeted at anatomically weak points. The goal being to enable you to escape to safety by injuring, distracting or incapacitating an attacker.

This course will cover stance and posture, punches, palm strikes, hammer fist strikes, elbow strikes, pushes and defence. It will also discuss the risks of using knee strikes and kicks, as well as the correct way to headbutt and other ‘dirty fighting’ techniques.

There are also two practice videos where students can put all the techniques together.

This course is the second of a collection of self-defence courses. It will primarily focus on the technique of fighting back once a violent situation has occurred. Students are encouraged to watch ‘Self Defence 101: Prevention’ prior to this course, so that they can better avoid violence in the first place.

Sometimes, no matter how well we prepare, violence comes to us and we need to fight back.

This course will teach you how.
