Two months after Sao Paulo registered the first coronavirus case in the region, the number of reported deaths in Latin America has risen to more than 10,000 and over 200,000 people have been infected, according to official numbers. But the figures could be much higher. A rapid response from governments in the closing of borders, and imposition of lockdowns and curfews has bought some countries time to prepare for what's ahead. But the dire economic predictions for the region already have many worried.
