India on Wednesday named TS Tirumurti as its next permanent representative to the United Nations at New York as part of string of ambassadorial appointments. TS Tirumurti, an Indian Foreign Service (IFS) officer of the 1985 batch and currently secretary (economic relations), will replace Syed Akbaruddin, who is set to retire this month.
विदेश मंत्रालय के अनुसार 1985 बैच के भारतीय विदेश सेवा अधिकारी त्रिमूर्ति को संयुक्त राष्ट्र में राजदूत या स्थायी प्रतिनिधि नियुक्त किया गया है। फिलहाल वो विदेश मंत्रालय में सचिव की जिम्मेदारी निभा रहे हैं। संयुक्त राष्ट्र में भारत के मौजूदा स्थायी प्रतिनिधि अकबरुद्दीन जल्द ही रिटायर होने वाले हैं।
