An intense fight broke out between a pack of dogs and a raft of otters in the central Indian state of Madhya Pradesh.

The incident took place at Gandhi Nagar Sanctuary on April 27.

The video shows a pack of three dogs attacking a baby otter in unison.

Subsequently, two mature otters came swimming at a fast pace to the baby's rescue.

The otters waddled out of the water to attack the dogs, while another feral canine came to join in the fight.

After several attempts, the otters managed to avert the attack and rescued the baby.

Known for their playful nature, an otter attack is a rare sight.
