Data from John Hopkins University shows that Florida has at least 32,139 people infected with the virus and over 1,088 have died. People on social media did not like DeSantis’ comments about the elderly, some saying it was “derogatory.” One woman tweeted: “He is following in the footsteps of Trump; it's the age of anything goes.”
