Wuhan declares ‘victory’ as central Chinese city’s last Covid-19 patients leave hospital

Wuhan, the central Chinese city that was the initial epicentre of the coronavirus pandemic, reportedly no longer has any Covid-19 patients in hospital. State media said that the final 12 cases were discharged from hospital on April 26, 2020, days after officials said Wuhan had no new cases and that there were no seriously ill patients still undergoing treatment.
