North Korea and Russia will hold a grand celebration to mark the first anniversary of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un's first visit to Russia.
On Thursday, the Russian embassy in North Korea said the two sides will discuss bilateral cooperation and celebrate the 75th anniversary of Korea's independence from Japanese colonial rule.
The embassy also said Russia has sent flowers to Kim, and their respective foreign ministers discussed their joint projects, which are on hold due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The sending of flowers comes as rumors swirl surrounding Kim Jong-un's health.
Kim visited Vladivostok for three days in late April 2019 for his first summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
