Jharkhand Aadhaar Scam: Under the garb of PM’s Ujjwala scheme lakhs siphoned from poor Adivasis

Several Adivasis across five villages in Godda district have lost their meagre earnings in their bank accounts as a result of an Aadhaar scam. Several men had reached Sunderpahari village in Godda stating that they were from the Jharkhand government and had come to provide free gas connection under the Ujjwala Yojana. As the word got around in the village, at least 70% of the women came to enrol.
