Cops: Scammers using new tactics to trick victims

Police have revaled a new tactic used by scammers to trick victims.
Bukit Aman CCID director Comm Datuk Seri Mohd Zakaria Ahmad said in a press conference on Monday that scammers would tell victims to download a beta testing app on their handphone, before instructing them to click on a link that led to a fake Bank Negara page.
They were then told to fill in their particulars in an online form, including bank details. The scammers will then take the money out before instructing the victim to delete their forms.
