G20 energy ministers released a briefing Friday stating their commitment to ensuring stability in the energy market... but they failed to finalize a much anticipated deal on sweeping oil production cuts to lift prices hit by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The ministers mentioned during their video conference that instability in the market would slow global economic recovery... which would in turn affect employment.
They agreed to establish a multi-national focus group for a coordinated response... led by Saudi Arabia... from which a status report is to be released regularly.
