The Congolese nun-doctor tackling coronavirus in Italy

Angel Bipendu, 47, visits sick patients in Almè, Italy, one of the countries hardest-hit regions in the coronavirus pandemic as a travelling doctor and nun. Bipendu is a doctor from the Democratic Republic of the Congo who belongs to the Sisters of the Redeemer of the Christian Community Order. In 2018, she was chosen to serve in Villa d’Almè in Bergamo as a doctor on call.
