Ceremony to remember victims of 4.3 Jeju Massacre to take place on Jeju Island

A memorial ceremony for the victims of the April 3rd Jeju Incident will take place in the coming hours at the April 3rd Peace Park...on the country's southern island of Jeju.
However, in light of the coronavirus outbreak, the ceremony will be smaller in scale than usual, with roughly 1-hundred-50 people to attend, including families of the victims and related civic groups.
The elderly and people with underlying illnesses are not taking part but those in attendance will sit two meters apart from one another to abide by social distancing guidelines.
It's estimated some 30,000 people on the island were killed between April 1948 and May 1949.
