Coronavirus: GE union workers say company should make ventilators
  • 4 years ago
Union workers at the General Electric Aviation plant in Lynn, Massachusetts, say the company is failing to keep employees safe amid the coronavirus pandemic. "The lives of workers are being jeopardized because we do not have the necessary supplies to keep our factories safe," says Adam Kaszynski, president of IUE-CWA Local 201, a day after workers held a protest outside the plant. Kaszynski also says the company should manufacture ventilators to help battle the pandemic instead of laying off employees.
