বোলপুর থেকে প্রায় ৯ কিলোমিটার দূরে কোপাই নদীর তীরে অবস্থিত। পুরাণ মতে, ৫১ মহাপীঠের মধ্যে কঙ্কালীতলায় সতী মায়ের কাঁখ (কোমরের হাড়) পড়েছিল। এখানে মূর্তি পুজোর বদলে ছবিতে পুজো করা হয়, কারণ কোমরের ওপর কখনো মূর্তি গড়া যায়নি।
Kankalitala (one of the famous 51 shakti peeth) is situated at the bank of river named Kopai. 9 Kms away from city Bolpur (Shantiniketan). Nearest railway station is Prantik.
