Workers' welfare fund of Rs 31,000 crore to be utilised for construction workers. We plan to direct state governments to help 3.5 crore construction workers to this end: Under PM Gareeb Kalyan, govt will pay the EPF contribution for both employer and employee for the next 3 months. This is for establishments with upto 100 employees where 90 per cent earn less than Rs 15,000 per month. Women Jan Dhan account holders will receive Rs 500 in their accounts so that they can take care of their households. This will happen for the next 3 months: FM Sitharaman

దేశవ్యాప్తంగా లాక్ డౌన్ ప్రకటించడంతో ఆయా పట్టణాలు,నగరాల్లో చిక్కుకుపోయిన వలస జీవులు,పని లేక ఇబ్బంది పడుతున్న కూలీలు.. వీరంతా ఆకలితో అలమటిస్తోన్న సంగతి తెలిసిందే. ఈ నేపథ్యంలో కేంద్ర ఆర్థికమంత్రి నిర్మలా సీతారామన్ రూ.1.7లక్షలకోట్ల ప్యాకేజీ ప్రకటించారు. దేశంలో ఏ ఒక్కరూ ఆకలితో అలమటించవద్దని.. అలాగే ఎవరి చేతిలోనూ డబ్బు లేని పరిస్థితి ఉండవద్దని ప్రభుత్వం భావిస్తోందన్నారు. ఈ ప్యాకేజీతో పేదల ఆకలి తీర్చడంతో పాటు వారి ఖాతాల్లో ప్రత్యక్షంగా కొంత డబ్బును జమ చేస్తామని చెప్పారు.
